Alpine present the A524: this is the car for the 2024 season!

Alpine had a quiet 2023 but hope to do better in 2024. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly now have the A524 at their disposal. In Enstone, England, the French team showed the car with which the French drivers hope to attack top teams Red Bull Racing, Mercedes, McLaren and Ferrari.

Alpine have expressed their desire to connect to the top for years, but just as often the team failed to succeed. It is no secret that the power unit is the weakest on the F1 grid, making the realisation of its sky-high targets almost immediately impossible. It was not possible to make adjustments to the power unit during the mid-season, so the focus was necessarily on other facets of the A524.

McLaren showed last year that with proper further development, steps forward can be made in a relatively short time. The McLaren example is firmly what Alpine is sticking to for 2024. How fast the car actually is will be seen in the near future - including during test days in Bahrain. Until then, French fans will have to make do with the first images of a stationary A524.
