Alfa Romeo is having a disappointing season so far. The team from Switzerland has not scored any points since the Australian Grand Prix, but with the upgrades brought in Monaco, that should soon change.
In Monaco, Alfa Romeo brought a lot of upgrades. These seemed to work well, although the team again failed to score any points in the principality. Valtteri Bottas did make up a lot of places on Sunday, but stranded in eleventh position. Guanyu Zhou got no further than 13th place.

'Standing tall'

Bottas argues that the performance in Monaco was good, but that the team should aim for more. "Barcelona can be the place where we make a step in
the right direction: I’m not the only one in the team who is eager to be on track there, everyone is confident and that’s the spirit we all want to see in the team,"
the Finn said in an Alfa Romeo press release.

Zhou: 'Upgrades here even more effective'

Zhou hopes his team can finally start ending the points drought in Spain. "Our Monaco upgrades should be even more effective on this layout,
so I am confident we can have some fun and be a bit better here. The objective remains the same – qualifying as high as we can and converting that position into points come Sunday.”
