Fabrizio Borra, physiotherapist and good friend of Fernando Alonso, has passed away at the age of 64, in response to which the Spaniard has shared a tribute on his social media.

Alonso mourns the loss of Fabrizio Borra

Alonso and Borra had been working together since the start of Alonso's Formula 1 career at the Minardi team. Before that, he had worked with Michael Schumacher after he broke his leg at the Silverstone circuit in 1999. Borra had been ill for some time and had thus not been seen in the F1 paddock for a while.
Alonso shared an emotional statement on Instagram following the death of his good friend. "I will miss you, Fabri. Every day. Thank you for teaching me so much and for making me a better person and athlete. My whole career with you has been the greatest luck I could have 👬🏻. ❤️ Rest in peace, brother", wrote the 43-year-old Spaniard.
