Alonso hint online already on his return to Renault, Mercedes bracing itself

On Wednesday, Renault will most likely announce who their second (or first) driver will be next to Esteban Ocon in 2021. It seems almost certain that Fernando Alonso will be the new/old driver and everyone is looking forward to that.

Formula 1 journalist Ben Hunt noticed something on Wednesday morning on the Instagram channel of Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard made an innocent video for his story, but if you take a look and listen to the music it seems to that 'Nando is hinting clearly towards a comeback: The Timeout Orchestra - Back to the Future.

Not only fans and media are looking forward to the news, but also the Formula 1 teams. For example, the Mercedes media department is attentive. They have already turned on all the Twitter reports of the Renault F1 Team, so they don't have to miss out on the latest news about the new driver.

Renault hasn't made any official announcements yet. Alonso's name has been buzzing around since his departure and according to several sources Cyril Abiteboul has told the staff that it will be announced on Wednesday. Alonso is most likely the driver that will be presented.
