Alfa Romeo are set to give Formula 2 star Juan Manuel Correa an opportunity to drive a Formula One car for the first time this month at Le Castellet, where the French Grand Prix is held.
Correa is racing for Sauber Junior team by Charouz and has impressed by scoring two podium positions in his debut season, and now Alfa Romeo have offered him the chance to drive a 2013 Sauber C32.
According to Speedweek.com, the American said: "We've been working on a Formula 1 career for years. Now it's time for the next step. I want to learn as much as possible."
Correa has previously been linked with Lotus, which turned into Renault, but he was dropped from the academy a few years back, with Renault's academy stocked full of talent already.
