His former Williams teammate, Alexander Albon, reacted to the news on Instagram. He posted a picture of the two with the following caption:

Alexander Albon knows from his own experience how difficult this situation will be for Sargeant. In 2019, he was called to step in as Pierre Gasly's replacement at Red Bull Racing. In turn, the Thai-Brit had to make way for Sergio Perez in 2021, after which he experienced a year without an F1 seat. Sargeant himself has not yet commented on the news.
