Yuki Tsunoda will start from the back of the grid at the Mexican Grand Prix on Sunday evening. AlphaTauri decided to change his engine for the last time this season and as a result he gets a grid penalty.

The driver previously stated that he expected the upcoming three races to be pretty tough. In Mexico, Brazil and Qatar he thought the competitors were better able to cope with the amount of travelling, which is completely new for him. Therefore it seems to be a logical decision for AlphaTauri to put a new power source in Tsunoda's car.

Tsunoda experienced a season with ups and downs. In Bahrain he managed to score points immediately but then drove a series of lesser GP's. At the moment he is fourteenth in the world championship with twenty points. At the moment he has four points more than George Russell.

Gasly experiencing excellent season

His teammate Pierre Gasly seems to be doing a lot better in Mexico. The Frenchman has been impressing his team all season, although it seems almost impossible for him to reach eighth place in the World Championship. The gap to Daniel Ricciardo is no less than 31 points.
