Lando Norris finished second in the Italian Grand Prix and saw his teammate take the victory. It was McLaren's first one-two since the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix. Norris thought about challenging for the win but was just as pleased to stay in second.

"I am not going to lie. The priority is the team. I am here for the long term and for our future this is a great result. I could have tried. I asked the team what they wanted to do. I was just as happy to stay in second. I have grown up with them in a way," Norris said in a conversation with Sky Sports

Battle with Hamilton

Before Hamilton's crash with Max Verstappen, the seven-time World Champion had a battle with Norris. The McLaren enjoyed this battle.

"This was nice [the battle with Lewis]. The longer we went I knew it he was going to have an advantage. He got me in the end and then with the pitstop it got be out ahead of Max and Lewis and I could have been in that crash," Norris added.

"I wanted the inside no matter what. Some grass was cut and we got the 1-2. It's been strong all weekend. We had the pace maybe not to overtake a Red Bull or Mercedes but we had the pace to keep them behind."
