Daniel Ricciardo has won the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. The Australian saw Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen crash and was then not really put under any more pressure either. Ricciardo is extremely happy and does not believe he has taken his first win for McLaren at Monza.
"Can I swear? I want to," Ricciardo comes running in with a big grin on his face.

The Perth-based driver continues on a more serious note. "Even if we got the start it was never a guarantee to lead the race. We didn't have mega speed but just enough to hold Max behind. There was something in me on Friday."
Ricciardo has not yet been on the podium in 2021, but that is for a reason. "I have just been a sandbagging," he jokes. "The August break was good just to reset. I have felt better the last three weekends. To get a 1-2 is insane."
