Binotto: We somehow understood the weaknesses

Just short of victory for Leclerc

Team boss Mattia Binotto is very pleased with Leclerc's second-place finish for the team despite losing the victory. It wasn't long back when Ferrari last had a dramatic Grand Prix. Indeed, in France, the team failed to score a single point and mostly fought with itself: "We somehow understood the weaknesses and now this is three races in a row where we have had good pace in the race, which was a weakness at the start of the season."

Binotto reveals that Ferrari has been doing a lot of simulator work to improve on-track performance. "Trying to get a better understanding of what’s wrong, how to address it – and I think this is what I’m happy and pleased, to see the progress."
