Verstappen sees himself changed: "I used to shout around"

Max Verstappen is only 23 years old but is currently in his seventh season in Formula 1. He is almost an old hand in the business. The leader of the world championship therefore sees many differences between the Verstappen of old and now.

He was seventeen when he made his debut with Toro Rosso at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix. Since then, Verstappen has already won twelve races and is at the top of the championship for the first time in his career since his victory in Monaco at the age of 23.

In the ServusTV program Sport und Talk Verstappen talks about the maturation process he went through in recent years. "From the age of 17 to 23, things change. That's very normal," the Dutchman explains. "I used to shout around. Nowadays I'm much more relaxed."

Verstappen also tells how he has changed physically in recent years. For example, he has gained ten kilos of muscle mass over the past year. "Compared to last year, it's a bit more. But in general I never have any problems in the car. I weigh 78 kilograms with all the equipment included."
