Max Verstappen turns 29: Kelly Piquet shares birthday photos with special cake

Four-time world champion Verstappen turned 29 years old today. The driver competing in his 12th season celebrated his birthday with his family ahead of the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.

Kelly Piquet posted photos together with Verstappen, as well as one focusing on the special cake the Dutchman received.

The cake features their family, including Penelope, Lily, and their pets. It also reads: “29 years later...”

In her Instagram story, the Brazilian also wrote: "Happy Birthday My ❤️" See the images below!

This week, Verstappen has to travel to Malaysia, where the Bahrain Grand Prix will take place.

There, he will have to take on three practice sessions ahead of Qualifying and Sunday's Grand Prix. However, the Dutchman's ideal weekend would look different. He said on the P1 with Matt & Tommy YouTube channel: "You arrive Saturday morning, FP1, qualifying and then the race on Sunday."

The Dutchman continued: "But the problem is that I understand that, of course, they have to monetize a Friday, they have to monetize a Saturday and a Sunday. So that's why I get that a Friday needs to be exciting. A Saturday needs to be exciting and a Sunday.
