RB16B looks stuck to tarmac: 'Like Verstappen is in old Mercedes'

Red Bull Racing is in good shape for the start of the 2021 Formula 1 season. Max Verstappen 's team performed excellently during the winter test, and Ralf Schumacher has high hopes for the Dutchman.

Mercedes has dominated Formula 1 for the past seven years, but during the winter test in Bahrain for the 2021 season, Mercedes ran into trouble. The car was unreliable, unstable and above all not very fast. Schumacher is turning his sights on Red Bull, which he believes has done good business.

''There have been some shifts in the winter, and generally, the feeling is that Verstappen is closer to Mercedes. Now you get the feeling Verstappen is in last year's Mercedes. When he sends into the corner, he hardly has to correct,'' Schumacher said to Sky Germany.

''Verstappen and Red Bull are the favourites for the world title as far as I'm concerned. The times they drove looked excellent and the same goes for newcomer Sergio Perez. Red Bull has a stable situation with the engine, and of course, we know Honda will want to end the partnership with a bang'', concludes the former Formula One driver.
