It was a successful test weekend for Red Bull Racing. They finished the pre-season test in Bahrain as the fastest team overall, and were quickest on two of the three days. AlphaTauri also looked good, especially Yuki Tsunoda who impressed on Sunday. The Honda engine seems to be doing well and Helmut Marko is optimistic for next season.

"This is the best test start we've ever had," the Red Bull advisor began in a conversation with Sport1."The car is responding well to the changes and we were even able to start playing with the setup already, to see what works and what doesn't". Red Bull got through the test days almost without any problems. Apart from a minor incident with Sergio Perez on Saturday, there were no worries at all for the team from Austria.

Hardly any problems for Red Bull

"The Williams in front of him suddenly slowed down and then something shot off Perez's front wing. That pulled the engine cover off," Marko acknowledged. Fortunately, Red Bull's mechanics were able to repair the damage at a reasonable pace, so there was no major loss of time for the Mexican. All in all, Red Bull can look back on a successful winter test and the focus now turns to the first Grand Prix.

"Everything works as we hoped and the car reacts as we expected before the test days," Verstappen informed the same medium."We made a lot of changes to the new car and it shows, despite the changing earodynamics and the new tyres," the Dutchman concluded.
