Max Verstappen is looking forward to the race today. He will start third behind the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and George Russell and hopes to fight them with the alternate strategy.

Interesting race

"Anything can happen," says Verstappen in the preview of Formula 1. "The pit stops and the busy traffic make it interesting today. Anything can happen." The Dutchman knows what to do. "Hopefully we can follow and keep the pressure on. We have a different strategy, so we're going to see what we can do to make things difficult for Mercedes.”

New face in front

One place in front of Verstappen is a new face for him, George Russell. "I expected nothing less," the Red Bull Racing driver is full of praise. "He is a good driver and now has the best car on the grid.”

Verstappen thinks it was a relief for Russell to suddenly be in the Mercedes. "You come from a car that is struggling and all of a sudden everything feels good. That does increase your confidence. We'll see what he can do today.”
