Mattia Binotto looks back on the race on the Imola circuit with mixed feelings. The Italian top man saw Charles Leclerc score ten points, but Sebastian Vettel was unable to finish in the top ten. In any case, Binotto sees that Ferrari seems to have taken the right path.

"We were looking for consistency in the longruns and we got it on a completely different circuit than Portimao and with the same compounds as at the Nürburgring," says Binotto afterwards in conversation with Sky. Where there was a lot of degradation on the softs in the German GP, it was not so bad in Italy this Sunday.

Ferrari's team boss looks back on Leclerc's fifth place with relative satisfaction. "The race pace was good and Charles managed to go faster on the softs than Daniel Ricciardo. It was a shame about yesterday's qualifying session."

According to Binotto, with a better Saturday, there would have been more inhabitants than fifth place.

Vettel suffers from a long pit stop

Sebastian Vettel did not get into the points. The four-time world champion came no further than twelfth, a place behind Nicholas Latifi's Williams. "Sebastian certainly feels more comfortable with this car than he did a few races ago. His racing pace proves it. I hope for him that in the next few races we won't have any more problems at the pit stop."
