Stroll happy with surprising third place: "Victory was out of our reach"

Stroll has proven before that he can take advantage of mistakes made by other drivers. The Canadian has done so again in Italy, with a third-place finish at Monza.

"I'm very happy with P3, it's been a few years since I've been on the podium. It feels good to be back, it was such a crazy race. I am also so happy for Pierre, he had a great start and he was so consistent during the race. It's a shame, the race was for me to lose after the restart. I had no grip and everyone flew past me. I had a good fight with Carlos in the first few laps. I'm glad we were able to take third place. Victory was out of our reach today," Stroll said after the race.

"We're not used to suddenly having such a break during a race. It's great to finish third here today," concluded the Canadian.
