With a fourth place on the starting grid, Sergio Perez has a good chance of a podium. The Mexican will have to keep Max Verstappen behind him, while he himself will hope to overtake Carlos Sainz in the first round. Perez expects a good result and also takes into account a possible podium. According to team boss Otmar Szafnauer the team has made a lot of good changes.

"We have changed a lot in the night. We are now stronger not only in qualifying, but also in the race. We will therefore have a strong car this afternoon," Szafnauer explains to Motorsport-Total.com. Perez himself is also happy with the changes. "So I expect we will be in a good position tomorrow

With party mode top three

Szafnauer agrees with the words of his driver. Perez and Lance Stroll are in good places for the Grand Prix. "We could wait in the pits for the right driver and I think we did a good job in qualifying." In Monza the drivers and the teams went on the track for the first time without party mode. For Racing Point that ban did have an impact.

"Normally it would have given us a tenth lead. Then we would have finished third with Sergio and Lance would have had a better starting spot, despite his mistake in qualifying". So Racing Point is very fast in Monza and expectations are high. "We will be very strong and we can certainly fight for the podium in the race", concludes Perez.
