Red Bull Racing finally wanted to take the title fight with Max Verstappen this year. However, Mercedes still has an edge, so the team has to work hard to make Verstappen the youngest world champion.

Red Bull said they had never had such a good winter break and Honda had also made tremendous progress. The problem is, however, that this is also the case for Mercedes. Red Bull, on the other hand, does not seem to have taken such a big step forward that Verstappen is struggling to find a place among the Mercedes drivers.

Horner believes in the title Verstappen

''A lot has happened in seven weeks. Of course it is a pity about that DNF, because without it I think we would have been 18 points closer to Hamilton. Verstappen only gets out of his car and does that fantastically. Hopefully we can close the gap to Mercedes in the upcoming races'', says Christian Horner in the Talking Bull Podcast.

''We're working as hard as we can, because that car will of course go with us to next year. Hats off to Mercedes who have done a good job, but we still have something in the pipeline. If we survive the next two races (Spa and Monza) on Mercedes' favourite tracks, there will still be opportunities for us after that'', the team boss concludes optimistically.
