Perez remains confident that Racing Point car has "potential"

Sergio Perez and Racing Point have been at the top of the timesheets so-far in testing. While it's hard to get a true indication of the performance in comparison with other teams, the Mexican remains positive about the potential that their car has.

The new Racing Point car looks very similar to last year's Mercedes car and it, of course, contains Mercedes parts due to their relationship. Around the paddock, pundits and other team members are naming it the pink Mercedes. Perez is just pleased to have a car that will be similar to the challenger they will take to the Australian Grand Prix.

"What is really good about this season is to finally have a car that is similar to what we'll have in Melbourne. That's a really positive thing because we can learn so much compared to the previous seasons when we've been late with our car. The car has potential," Perez told Sky Sports.
