Michael Schumacher being treated in Paris hospital

Seven time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher is reportedly being treated in a Paris hospital in secret, according to French newspaper La Parisien.

The German is still in recovery from an horrendous skiing accident in December 2013, with his condition largely unknown to the public.

La Parisien reports that Schumacher was transferred from Geneva to the French capital on Monday, adding: "According to our information, the former champion benefits from infusions of stem cells that are distributed in the body to obtain a systemic anti-inflammatory action, that is to say throughout the body. The treatment should start this Tuesday morning, the patient leaving the hospital in principle Wednesday."

Whilst Schumacher's health is largely unknown, his former Ferrari team boss Jean Todt revealed a while ago that he is watching races again, including Formula 2, where his son Mick is excelling in his debut season.
