Nico Hulkenberg avoids penalty for cutting corner during Q3

Nico Hulkenberg will not be penalized for cutting the corner during the final part on Q3. The stewards have released a statement in which the explain their decision.

“The driver stated that he was focussing his attention on the cars that were behind him and that he left it too late to turn the corner so he went straight ahead into the chicane,” the stewards said in a statement.

Hulkenberg is still under investigation for driving too slowly so we will update you when we find out the outcome.
