Wolff says there are two candidates to be Lewis Hamilton's 2020 teammate!

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says that there are just two candidates that can win the second seat at Mercedes to be Lewis Hamilton's teammate for next season.

For the last three seasons, the Brit has been joined by Valtteri Bottas, and after a scintillating start to the 2019 season, the Finn hasn't quite performed to the same standard in the last few weekends, leading to questions being asked about his position.

The other option for the Silver Arrows is Esteban Ocon, who is Mercedes' reserve driver. Ocon impressed with Force India in 2017 and 2018 before being dropped for Lance Stroll, but there have been consistent rumours of him returning to the sport with Mercedes.

Wolff told German newspaper Die Welt: "We have a top driver in Valtteri, we are aware of that.
