I was happy with my performance but we can always do better

George Russell is adamant Williams can do better despite clearly having an inferior package and reflected on his first British Grand Prix in F1, which saw him achieve his highest finish in the pinnacle of motorsport so far.

Russell has had a tough time during his first season in F1 as Williams struggled at the back of the grid, with a car much slower than the rest of the field. Despite Williams' struggles Russell has managed to extract as much as possible out of the car and has impressed many, topping the timesheets at the tests in Bahrain and consistently outperforming his teammate, showing his talent.

Russell's best result at Silverstone is not enough for Williams to rest on their laurels.

"It was a nice race because you could attack as in qualifying at every lap. And on a track like Silverstone, it's bound to be great,"  Russell told Auto Hebdo.

"After, obviously, the final result does not correspond to our expectations. We need more support.

"I was happy with my performance although we can always do better. I still think I have extracted the maximum of the car."
