Ferrari can't be happy until they are faster than the rest

Ferrari team principal, Mattia Binotto has vowed that the team cannot be satisfied with their performance until they are faster than the rest of their competitors and feels they are starting to move in the right direction.

Ferrari have really struggled this season, with their best finishes this season being P2 in Monaco and Canada for Sebastian Vettel. Their season has been plagued by team orders, reliability issues and mistakes which has seen them fall 140 points behind Mercedes in the Constructors' Championship.

Without a win in 2019 Ferrari will want to get back on the tail of Mercedes but face an uphill battle. However their team principal, Mattia Binotto believes progress is being made but they won't be happy until they are top of the pile.

“The first is absolutely we cannot be happy, not until we can say for a fact we’ll be faster than the competitor," Binotto said as quoted by Racer.

"But we were expecting a difficult race weekend in Paul Ricard.

“At least the direction that we are starting to set is the right one, still much to do.

"Overall I cannot say it was a positive weekend but I think not too bad as well, considering initial expectations."
