Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey has insisted "everything seems ready" in Montreal at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix.

Race promoter Francois Dumontier also insisted the circuit will be ready for the forthcoming Canadian Grand Prix. With just over three weeks before the race - which will be round seven of the F1 season - the site is still under construction.

Dumontier admitted there are still some finishing touches to be made before the track is completely ready, but he revealed that they may need to wait until after the race takes place.

"But it's nothing that jeopardises the use of the garages," the Canadian Grand Prix promoter insisted. "What you can see looks worse than it really is. If I had to put a percentage on the completed work; I would say it is between 96 and 97 per cent."

Carey echoed Dumontier's words and believes that everything is more or less ready at the track: "Maybe they just need to sweep up. I believe the facilities match the expectations we had set exactly.

"But we were never really concerned because we knew the event was in good hands."
