Both Red Bull and Toro Rosso managed to put in some decent mileage throughout winter testing, but Honda has confirmed they discovered some problems in Barcelona.

During testing itself, rumours emerged that drivers Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly experienced some vibrations and forced the engine to be turned down.

According to Toyoharu Tanabe, these problems were only minor issues and have been fixed ahead of the first race in Australia this weekend.

A lot of the early season attention will be focused on Honda as they begin their new relationship with Red Bull. Ahead of this, Tanabe has delivered a report on the testing carried out so far.

"Over the eight days of pre-season testing, we completed a high mileage with four drivers and our two teams. As is often the case in testing, we spotted some minor issues, which we fixed prior to going to Melbourne," he told the official Honda website.

During his statement, he also thanked Red Bull and Toro Rosso for their cooperation through the winter months.

"I must also thank the staff of Scuderia Toro Rosso and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing for their extremely helpful attitude and great effort over the winter. And now it’s time to go racing," he concluded.
