Antonio Perez Garibay is angry with the Mexican media. Sergio Perez's father is demanding an apology from journalists in his home country because they recently reported—wrongly—that his son would say goodbye after the Mexican Grand Prix.
Perez Garibay can't understand why journalists reported that Checo would announce his retirement. Speaking on an ESPN podcast, he, therefore, wants them to apologise to him and his son. "The press that said he was no longer racing in Mexico, that he was saying goodbye, should at least apologise," Perez told Garibay, who then stressed that Checo and Red Bull will continue with each other.

'Checo Perez another two years at Red Bull'

Perez's dad additionally praised Red Bull's professionalism and revealed that a restructuring within the team is underway, which will allow a return to the absolute top of Formula 1. The politician believes that will happen with Checo in one of the Austrian team's cars.
According to Antonio Perez Garibay, Checo plans to stay with Red Bull for the next two years and then quit Formula 1. The father reveals that a switch to another team—either now or in two years' time—is not on Perez Junior's mind.
