Verstappen seen training with Nelson Piquet Jr.

Max Verstappen is continuing to train hard during Formula 1's break in the season. A video on Instagram shows the Dutchman running with Nelson Piquet Jr. in Portugal.

Max Verstappen is defending a 52-point gap to Lando Norris in the Formula 1 World Championship. There are six Grands Prix remaining and three sprint races.

Verstappen hasn't won a race since June, and Norris has reduced the gap since the summer break. Problems with the car's balance have caused the Dutchman to increasingly struggle with his car. At the moment, Red Bull is doing all it can to improve the balance so that the championship leader can stay on top in Abu Dhabi.

Verstappen himself is not sitting still either. Together with his girlfriend's brother, he can be seen running on the Instagram stories of his personal trainer and cousin of Piquet, Mark Cox, who is also running himself. Check out the footage of the running session below.
