Heavy penalty for Gasly after technical foul: Disqualification in Baku

Pierre Gasly has been disqualified by the stewards after qualifying in Baku. His car did not comply with technical regulations afterwards. The Alpine Frenchman will, however, be allowed to compete in Sunday's Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The stewards acknowledged that it was due to a technical problem with the car, and it didn't help Gasly during the session. The Frenchman has, therefore, lost his P13 position after qualifying. All the drivers behind him, including Lando Norris, will move up one place as a result of this disqualification.
