After spinning out when he was in the lead, Max Verstappen thinks that his collision with Esteban Ocon cost him the victory, as Lewis Hamilton passed him as he was spun around and drove his Mercedes to the win.

Verstappen had spectacularly fought his way up the field from fifth place up to first, but when he tried to go past Ocon to lap him, the Frenchman wouldn't let him. He tried to go on the inside on the second half of the Senna S but there was no space, causing him to run into Verstappen's RB14. Both drivers spun out. Verstappen did manage to finish second, but it was still a bitter race for him.

"If stewards give him a penalty than I think we know who's wrong. So many backmarkers try to race you. It was a stupid risk."

Still, Verstappen hopes to leave this all behind him in the grander scheme of things.

"What can I do about it? I lost a victory but hopefully in 15 years time we can laugh about it.”
