Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen believes that the Italian's recent slump in form has happened due to "small" but key issues which can be corrected.

At Suzuka, Raikkonen and his team-mate Sebastian Vettel both missed out on a top three finish - leaving Ferrari even further behind Mercedes; and the Finn called on Scuderia to "tidy up things" ahead of this weekend's race in Austin, Texas.

Ferrari's tyre management in Q3, with mixed conditions, saw both drivers lose out on good spots.

Both Ferrari cars went out on intermediate tyres due to the intermittent rain - with the rest of the teams all opting for what turned out to be the correct decision, in the slick tyres.

"I think we've not done as good as we wanted," Raikkonen told Crash.net. "I don't think there are massive differences but there are small differences that we need to correct for us to achieve good results. Let's see how it is here and obviously the weather will play a big part so we'll see how it turns out.

"I think obviously it has not been the most easy few races but I think we will see how it goes from here and try to keep the car in one piece. The speed should be there it is just about putting in the right place and qualifying well."

Raikkonen will be driving in America for the last time with Ferrari - with the Finnish veteran moving onto Sauber next season - with Charles Leclerc replacing the legend that is Kimi.
