There has been a lot of talk since the Baku Grand Prix about a possible title fight between Red Bull teammates Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Whereas the Dutchman has been faster than his Mexican counterpart on a weekly basis in recent years, Perez now seems edgy to the two-time world champion. Will it be a Hamilton/Rosberg 2.0? Toto Wolff and Christian Horner shed light on a possible competition during the press conference in Miami.

The difference in the standings is just six points between the two Red Bull drivers. They are, currently, also each other's only competitors for the world title. Both drivers have already won two Grands Prix this season. Will there be a third win in Miami for either of the two bantams? Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, once best friends, laid fire to each other during their shared Mercedes tenure. The two drivers were almost inferior to each other and ended up not being able to see or hear each other.

Wolff gives Horner advice

How should Red Bull team boss Christian Horner handle a similar situation according to Toto Wolff? "it's a super tricky job for Christian and the team because both drivers will obviously try to always feel that they are fairly and equally treated whilst at the same time trying to have an advantage." The Austrian has dealt with it before. "I think in our team it was important to maintain a lot of transparency and clarity, discuss things before we actually go racing on a Sunday."

'Should not become paranoid'

How Horner handles it? "We do everything Toto says, but just a bit better!", the Briton laughed. "You know, it's a luxury problem," Horner continued. "I think any team principal in the pit lane would hope to have that issue." The Red Bull man knows how to deal with the situation. "The most key thing, as Toto was mentioning, is to ensure that paranoia doesn't creep in, that both drivers are treated equally."
