AlphaTauri satisfied with De Vries: 'He comes with good feedback'

Alpha Tauri technical director Jody Egginton reports that Alpha Tauri can be satisfied with Nyck de Vries. The quality of feedback De Vries provides is of a high standard. De Vries gives roughly the same feedback that Yuki Tsunoda gives about his car.

Asked if Egginton is happy with the Dutchman, he responded cautiously. "Yes, I think so. Nyck has a lot of experience. He had only done one Formula 1 race before joining us, but he has incredible experience in other formula classes and experience from testing other Formula 1 cars," technical director Egginton told Motorsport.com.

De Vries feedback

The drivers have had updates to the car last month. "Both drivers have had the update and both gave similar feedback. That, on top of the data we collect, is good because they both benefit from it. In that respect, it has gone well so far," said the AlphaTauri man.

Nyck de Vries has yet to score any points this season, but he will get just another chance in the weekend that includes the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
