The new FIA championship, the 'F1 Academy', created to eventually prepare female drivers for F1, will start in April. The calendar is now official. The lights will go out 21 times at seven different circuits.
The season starts on 28 April in Austria. The Red Bull Ring will host the first races. The season leads the drivers through Valencia, Barcelona, Zandvoort, Monza, Le Castellet and ends in Austin. The aspiring Formula One drivers will thus drive at no less than six tracks also visited by Formula One.

Format of the F1 Academy

The F1 Academy is a result of the discontinuation of the W-series. In the new format, five constructors, which also compete in F2 and F3, will participate. Each team will have three drivers, eventually leaving 15 cars on the grid. The laps will be run in an F4 car.
