Christian Horner does not see all the team bosses getting together for a cosy dinner. The Mirror reports that the Red Bull Racing team boss thinks the chiefs of the different teams do not get along well enough for such an activity.

Prior to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton organised a dinner for all 20 drivers. It was mainly intended as a farewell to Sebastian Vettel, who is closing the book on his Formula 1 career after a 15-year stint. Footage of that evening quickly went viral across the internet and the drivers were praised for the harmony and togetherness that emanated from the idea.

For team bosses, something similar is not really in the cards for now, Horner believes. At a charity event, Horner was asked about that possibility and the Brit did not have to think long about it: "Unfortunately, the same amount of love isn't shared around the team principals, as the drivers."

'They do have to maintain their weight'

Horner also joked that it might just be better for the drivers if they don't have too many such dinners either. "They're a little bit like jockeys where they have to come in under a certain weight, and we saw that weight starting to creep up a little, through the steakhouses in Austin and the taquerias in Brazil. He'll be back on weight, I'm sure, by the time he gets back in the car in February next year."
