Full results FP2 Singapore | Ferrari tanks confidence on first day

Ferrari was the big winner during the second free practice session of the Singapore Grand Prix. While Carlos Sainz managed to record the fastest time, Charles Leclerc was a fraction slower than his teammate. Max Verstappen grabbed the fourth spot.

Lewis Hamilton still managed to finish first during the first practice session of the day but had to settle for fifth position a few hours later. This put him not only behind Ferrari and Verstappen but also ahead of George Russell. Indeed, the talented Briton took third place.

Sergio Perez again failed to match Verstappen's time. The Mexican was almost a second slower than his teammate and came ninth. Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll also entered the top ten.

Daniel Ricciardo again disappointed in the second practice session of the race weekend. The Australian set the eighteenth fastest time and therefore has plenty of work to do. His teammate Lando Norris also failed to join the first half of the drivers: he did not get beyond 11th place.
