Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner has said that one of his drivers, Romain Grosjean, will quickly come out of his current slump and be back to his best, as the Frenchman will look to score points for the first time since October.

Only Grosjean and Williams rookie Sergey Sirotkin haven't put any points on the board yet on the entire grid. Sure, Grosjean was very unlucky in Melbourne with the whole pit-stop fiasco, but after that, most crashes and finishes were of his own doing. He lost his rear-end during a safety car in Baku, slamming into the wall, and he followed that up in Spain by causing carnage on the first lap of the race.

Even though he's had this terrible start to the season, Steiner has confidence in his French driver.

"Up until now, Romain has had a good weekend here in Monaco," he said.

"He managed to keep his cool and build slowly.

"He wants to drive a clean weekend and he wants to build confidence before going all-out.

"Hopefully, he can carry on with this form in the third free practice and in qualifying."

Grosjean will have a three-place grid penalty because of the crash he caused in Spain.
