Gasly denies Alpine talks, Ocon would not block arrival of compatriot

It is not for the first time that Gasly is mentioned at Otmar Szafnauer's team. Alpine is of course from France and bringing in a competitive French driver is good for the brand. Ocon himself does have a preference for a new teammate in 2023. This weekend, the current world championship number eight expressed that he would like to see Mick Schumacher get the chance at Alpine.

Ocon and Gasly are of the same generation and have often competed against each other on track in the past. At the time they did not see eye to eye, but should the two countrymen become teammates, Ocon does not expect any rumours.
