In addition to Max Verstappen's victory, there is a lot of talk about Lewis Hamilton. Due to the extreme bouncing on the straights, the Briton suffered from severe back pain. After the race, Hamilton revealed over the board radio how much pain he was in and struggled to climb out of his Mercedes. Olav Mol thinks it is total nonsense.

"He sees that camera and then he starts walking with his hand on his back. He wants everyone to see that. They want the FIA to change something because they [Mercedes] say it's too dangerous. I think that's total nonsense. He's going to shout that it's so dangerous, but I don't trust it for a second. He wants someone else to solve it," Mol told the broadcast of Ziggo Sport.

Toto Wolff also let it be known afterwards that something needs to change. According to the Mercedes team boss, everyone except one driver agreed that the extreme porpoising can no longer go on like this. George Russell even let it be known that it is only a matter of time before major accidents happen.

Russell complains less

"Russell is even more folded up and you don't hear him complaining. He's even taller. If anyone should be in pain, it's George Russell," adds Robert Doornbos. According to earlier reports, the FIA would be open to making some simple rule changes to ensure that porpoising is reduced. However, the proposal would not have gained a majority.
