Carlos Sainz is perhaps the driver with the worst luck this season. He has not only himself to blame for that, but also the reliability of the Ferrari. During the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Spaniard crashed out again, which he finds difficult.

"Today's result is hard to accept. Unfortunately, a hydraulic problem occurred on lap 9 and that was it. Together with Charles’ issue, this is definitely a difficult day for the entire team and our fans, as we lost valuable points and mileage", Sainz begins in Ferrari's press release.

The Italians leave for Canada with zero points for the championship, allowing Red Bull Racing, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez to slowly build up a sizeable lead. In terms of performance, Sainz is also not yet succeeding this season. The driver has already made several mistakes himself during qualifying and the race, leaving him only in fifth place in the championship.

Sainz remains determined

Despite all the bad luck, Sainz has faith in his team. "For one reason or another, it’s been complicated to build a strong momentum so far this season. However, we are a very strong team and I have absolutely no doubt we have the ability and determination to come back stronger. There is still a long way to go this year. On to Canada."
