Kevin Magnussen is happy to be part of the Formula 1 circus again. After a year of absence he got his chance with his old employer after Haas fired Nikita Mazepin just before the start of the season. In Baku, he thinks he will have a chance to score points again this weekend.

Always lots of action and risks in Baku

With the Azerbaijan Grand Prix already the eighth race of the season on the calendar. Magnussen is looking forward to it in any case. "It's a beautiful circuit and very unique with the long straights and slow corners. I'm looking forward to it," he tells in a press release from his team. With the strong Ferrari engine in his car, the Danish driver thinks he will have few problems on the long straights. "Engine power is very important and we have a good engine."

Magnussen has already scored fifteen points for the championship so far but finished the last three races without any points. In Baku, he thinks he has a good chance again. "There is always a lot of action in Baku and the risk of yellow flags or a safety car is high. It always feels like there are more chances in Baku than in the average race."

Magnussen back to being used to F1 schedule

Of course, Magnussen did not have a good preparation for the Formula One season due to his late call-up, but by now he is completely used to the F1 circus. "I love it, I'm living my dream."

Despite a year away from Formula 1, he is used to the schedule he had in previous years. "Last year was an outlier. I had a lot of time left, and I enjoyed that, but it's also nice to be back. It's very busy, of course, but it's a lot of fun."
