Nyck de Vries has his second Formula E victory of 2022 under his belt. The Dutchman won the second ePrix in Berlin after a third place in qualifying. The Mercedes driver was very satisfied afterwards.

In qualifying for the second ePrix at the old Tempelhof airbase in Berlin, de Vries already came up to a handsome third place and in the race he managed to pass Robin Frijns and Edoardo Mortara. After winning the first race of this season, De Vries was finally able to cheer again on the iconic circuit in Germany's capital.

De Vries hits back

''What a fantastic result! These past few race weekends haven't been easy for us, so I'm incredibly happy to have won today. It was a very emotional moment for me. I've had quite a tough time in the last three races, and so, am really pleased to have been able to hit back after yesterday which was pretty difficult,'' an emotional De Vries revealed in Mercedes' press release.

The reigning FE world champion also makes another jump in the rankings. The Friesian is now sixth in the championship with 65 points. His teammate Stoffel Vandoorne retains the lead in the standings with 111 points. There are still eight races to go, with the next race being the debut of Formula E in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 4.
