Zhou sees big advantage for himself in Miami: 'For the first time'

Guanyu Zhou has made a reasonable start to his first Formula One season of his career. The Chinese driver only scored a point in Bahrain, but was also positive in the other races. At the Miami Grand Prix he sees opportunities for himself, he told Alfa Romeo's press release.

Following the departure of Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Raikkonen, Alfa Romeo went in search of an entirely new team prior to the season. It chose not only to bring Valtteri Bottas to the formation, but also to strengthen itself with Zhou.

Zhou is the only driver without experience in Formula 1 this season, which makes him notice that he is sometimes a bit behind the competition. However, the Chinese driver knows that the situation is different in Miami. Since it is a completely new circuit, he believes everyone will have to get used to the track.

"It’s a new track for everyone so, in this regard, I start for the first time on the same level as everyone else," he states. "As always, we will need to maximise every session in the run-up to qualifying, making sure we get the most out of our car: I am confident we can have another strong showing this weekend."
