Norris can't wait for the new season: 'That's what I look forward to'

Lando Norris is entering a hopeful season this month. It is expected that McLaren will be a lot closer to their competitors this season, so the driver might be able to compete for the world title. Norris himself expects especially exciting races, as he told the official website of Formula 1.

The driver came sixth in the World Championship in 2021, but especially in the first half of the season he showed that his competitors should take him into account. Norris managed to battle Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton on several occasions, although both drivers proved too good.

Norris looking forward to new season

Due to the new regulations, Norris still seems to be able to compete this season. It is expected that McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull Racing will be close to each other, giving his team a nice challenge. Norris, for his part, is especially curious about the circuits where the drivers can make a lot of speed.

"I look forward to the high-speed circuits which we’ll be going to," he said.

"That's obviously the type of corners where you tend not to be able to follow so much over the last few years. You should be able to follow much closer on those types of tracks and it should prove to be good racing and exciting for everyone to watch."
