The first free practice session for Formula 2 started later due to 'operational works'. With some delay, the session could still be started at 14:35 local time. It is certainly not an optimal start of the race weekend in Saudi Arabia.
The Jeddah circuit was only completed last week and on Friday the track was officially approved by the FIA. It is to be hoped that this will not cause any further problems during the rest of the weekend.
