Only four points were scored by McLaren in the last tripleheader. The team led by Andreas Seidl and with Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris in their cars will start the last two races with renewed fighting spirit.

McLaren still want to fight

The particularly poor performance of the whole team has left McLaren with a gap to Ferrari of almost forty points. It will be very difficult to close that gap, but still, the McLaren formation thinks they can do something about it in the last two races. In the preview of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, there is a lot of fighting spirit.

Ricciardo says in the preview at The website of the team: "From an intense, but ultimately disappointing triple header, it was nice to get out of the car and reset for the last two races. We don't know what to expect from Jeddah, but we worked hard as a team in the UK to get ready. We are going to the Middle East to fight."

Teammate Lando Norris focuses mainly on the upcoming race: "The track in Jeddah will be fun. It's a very fast and flowing track with walls close by. I have tested the track in the simulator to get to know the lay-out. We are going to give everything until the last flag in Abu Dhabi to finish in the best position in both championships."

Ferrari seems too far away

Team boss Seidl also joins the battle cries of his drivers. He calls the whole season an intense and interesting fight. Seidl: "It's not finished yet and we want to end it on a high." In order to pass Ferrari for the third spot in the constructors' championship, the team needs to bridge 39.5 points. As Red Bull Racing and Mercedes will in all likelihood occupy the first four positions, this task becomes almost impossible.
