'Manufacturer with the weakest engine is hit, i.e. Ferrari'

Ferrari is in quite a bit of trouble this season and that does not seem to be ending any time soon. The team has been hit hard by the new guidelines on fuel supply at the end of 2019, but that is not all.
Indeed, the most recent directives, which have restricted the use of special engine settings, seem to have turned out quite differently than some teams had hoped. Instead of penalising the dominant engine of Mercedes during qualifying, it seems to be taking advantage of this in the race.

Ferrari needs to look behind

This is because the additional load on the engine that was previously used during qualifying can now be spread evenly throughout the race. "And who is worst off with this starting point? The manufacturer with the weakest engine, Ferrari," said Auto Motor und Sport.
According to them, that explains why we saw Ferrari fall even further back at Monza and Mugello. The team, which still seemed to be fighting for third place in the championship, should now mainly look back. AlphaTauri is only on thirteen points from its Italian colleagues at Ferrari.
