"I am confident that we will be more competitive next year"

George Russell has driven exceptionally well this season but is hoping that Williams can improve and that he can fight for more than just the battle of the best driver a the slowest team.

Williams have had a tough season and it started in a disastrous way with the team missing much of the Winter testing. Russell is confident that this won't happen at the start of the next season.

"I am 100 percent sure that we will not make the same mistakes next year as this year," Russell said to Motorsport-total.com: "I bet we will have a car in next year's winter tests from day one."

Russell is also hopeful that 2020 will be better than what he has experienced in 2019.

Russell has cemented himself as a solid driver but he will hope that he is given a car to match his talent next season.
