The all-important Friday timed practice session at Hungary's Balaton Park Circuit concluded with KTM's Pedro Acosta at the top of the timing sheets.
Acosta is chasing his first MotoGP win and looks like a contender to do so this weekend. The young Spaniard had solid pace throughout the session and cleared second place Fabio Di Giannantonio by nearly half a second.
Marc Marquez had a very solid performance throughout the day as he continues to recover from injury. The reigning world champion was top of the FP1 session and managed a P7 finish in the afternoon which puts him straight through to Q2. However teammate Pecco Bagnaia could not continue his momentum from Mugello, and will have to contest in Q1 tomorrow.
The top two in the championship, Aprilia teammates Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin, sailed comfortably through inside the top ten, along with Trackhouse duo Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura.
